Personal Projects
Have you ever thought about designing your own skateboard, learning to watercolor, or publishing a book of poetry? Have you ever wanted to find a way to help underprivileged kids in your community or raise funds for a charity? The MYP Personal Project is your chance to work on a project that is meaningful to you. It provides a way for you to follow your passion, to learn something new, and serve others along the way.
Volunteer for Walden
We were lucky enough to be selected for Comcast Cares, a program where volunteers help at the school on the morning of 30 April and Comcast donates a set amount to the school for each volunteer. This is such a great opportunity because it allows to take care of many much needed projects at the school and it is a way to raise money for the school. Additionally, Comcast provides a t-shirt, juice, donuts, and pizza for all volunteers.
We would love your support and the deadline for preregistration is this Thursday, 31 March. Please take a moment and use the link below to register your family (all volunteers including students, family, and friends count) to come out on 30 April to support the school in this great effort. The more volunteers we have the more work that gets done and the more money Comcast will donate to the school.

What is Slack?
Every student and faculty member at Walden has access to the walden-school Slack channels. What is Slack? It's a new tool that we're using to improve communication between faculty and students. Go ahead, check your @waldenschool.us e-mail account for your invite. Or, sign into Slack using your firstname.lastname@waldenschool.us e-mail address to set up an account.

New Website
Welcome to the new Website!
We had struggled for some time to make the old website feel like home, but sadly we ended up making it feel clunky and confusing. We've taken some time to re-evaluate what we want the website to be, and this is the result!
Website Quality Over Time
- Quality
- Quality
You may have already noticed that the home page is much more geared toward prospective families. We believe that by separating the functional and informational parts of the website, we can provide a better experience for both prospective and current Walden families. If you have the main URL bookmarked, you may wish to change that now.
Dashboard will be the new home page for everything Walden:
- Lunch Menu
- Calendar
- Events/Announcements
- Documents
- SIS
- International Baccalaureate
- etc
While the old homepage will be where prospective parents can go to learn about Walden's mission, goals, and place in the community.
We hope that you find these changes useful, and as always don't hesitate to comment with questions.
